Buddi will run on almost any computer which has a Java virtual machine installed. This can include Windows, Macintosh OS X, Linux, and many other operating systems.
Buddi supports the concept of plugins which can be used to expand its functionality. Available plugins for Buddi include Report (to make new reports for Buddi), Import / Export / Synchronize (to allow transfer of data between Buddi and another program), and a generic type which can be used to extend the core functionality of Buddi.
Buddi is currently available in multiple languages. Buddi is released under the GNU General Public License. Since Buddi is released as Open Source Software, everyone has free access to the source code.
Buddi comes in different versions for Linux, either as a simple, runnable Java file, or packaged for several different Linux distributions to facilitate the process of uninstalling the software later and to better integrate with your specific Linux distribution.
